Take it or leave it be

They say take the risk or lose the chance, but why would they take the risk when they already know that they already lose? Perhaps it's a feeling they can't hold on to anymore and that is needed for them to let it out. If I were in a position where people would say to me 'take the risk or lose the chance' I'll take action depending on the situation that I'm in. I'll take the risk If I see a chance of a quarter of a whole but I'll stay put if it's only a chance that barely drops, because then again, why would I take a risk in a situation where I'm already the loser? Why would I still be engaged in something that will only tear me apart? Sometimes I think It's better to let some things be unheard than to be said, it's better to let some things be unknown.
