synesthesia
I felt That sense of shifting dark urgency The bloated presence on the hill The sun birthing like a sunny side up And you, translucent, Tom Staring at me behind a teacup Whispering to the clouds "It's all my fault" You carried my blame And now I will abolish it Because those who should have felt ashamed said nothing And should be damned to hell You are now free, fresh A handsome boy with a lively shock of black hair But God forbid you should get angry Then Satan himself would cower And the trees lose their leaves in terror at the mere thought of your approach You got sucked inside the lake, screaming, like a holographic image Imagine As if I had seen you through the static on a TV tube And from whence you sank deep inside the bowels of the earth A tiny creature came Who wracked an earthquake of destruction on our lives, yet Clearing the way for a happy change, fresh beginnings A genuine hug I see your picture with me I am wearing a striped dress and smiling Proud as can be Bello di mamma
