Synesthesia
Synesthesia By Alyna MacLaren The colors splash against my eyes, a camera lens with sparkling surprise. A halo of passion, wings of pride— auras glowing like fireworks in the sky. Orange, pink, blue, or green, these shifting shades are always seen. A constant light show in my mind, so vivid, yet unreal—a dream confined. "Hello, good sir, what’s your name?" A sudden spark, a tethered chain. The color appears, both dim and bright, I know him now by heart and sight. Weeks or months, or even in minutes, the glow will rise in its own time. It isn’t mine to choose or shape— your color shines, just as you are designed.
