The sun is bright, Black its rays, Background bright, Darkening days. The trees sway brown, With trunks so green, The water to drown, With redder sheen. The spikes of grass, The comfortable pain, Peace, alas, The dry, dry rain. In anxiety this, With noise sweet, The moon's kiss, Paradox I greet.
