Sweet past
Once a loving image in my sight, Now a broken piece in the past, You were a good mother With a smile shining bright, An embrace seemingly warm. Yet desire for freedom took over The once warm embrace turned cold Your words sharp, Like daggers stabbing through my veins. I look in your eyes, Meeting a sharp glare of anger But for what I remember, It was once filled with a loving affection. Oh how I miss those gaze The warm embrace bringing comfort, Now all I see is a different person Still carrying the image of the sweet past.
