Surrender
Dreadful thoughts freely taking over, I look in the mirror to see the disappointment declared upon my face. Fearful of how I am viewed, I am confined to my own space. In that time, I let the tears come through in order to reset my mind. I get on my knees, and open with thanks. I easily forget my plan is low on the ranks. I need you, and need to listen. For only if I did, you would not be missing. I pray to you, my God, and ask for forgiveness and to forgive. Let me break free and live. A hint of peace rises within me. Leaving my soul carefree. A sense of comfort cuddles me tight. Oh how I can sleep all through the night. Nothing left to do, but evolve I give my worries to you, God, to solve.
