I've been reading books of old The legends and the myths Achilles and his gold Hercules and his gifts Spiderman's control And batman and his fists And clearly I don't see myself up on that list So thank you to all of the heroes Who will never overdose And always be there To protect and care To be brave And save And for doing the task Without us having to ask You gotta repaint the colors The lie is wearing off Reality is upon us Colors dripping off So grab a glove And hush Because the heroes won't be here forever And ever
