Superficial
They say "I'm depressed" but twitch from excitement. They say "we're friends" but words separate us. They say " I'm happy" but proceeds to cry alone. We live in a world covered in fakes. They say " I love you" but backstab instead. They say " I'm real" but tell other's secrets. They say " I'm alone" but has others in their corner. This world bleeds in mistakes. We say "Happy birthday and Merry Christmas" but with a frown on our face we don't even cherish those we hold dear. I hope we don't lie our way into the New Year.
