sunset escape
The sun sinks low, a whisper in the sky, Its dying light paints gold where shadows lie. A final breath, a kiss of fire, it bleeds, And through the heavens, silent sorrow leads. The colors drip, as if from tear-stained eyes, Lavender dreams dissolve in crimson skies. Each fading hue, a promise left unspoken, Like love that lingers long after it's broken. The world stands still, a fleeting heart's embrace, Yet in the dusk, I search for your lost face. For in this twilight, beauty turns to pain, And I am left to mourn what can't remain. But still, the sunset weeps with such grace, A bittersweet reminder—time can't erase. Though night may claim the sky with velvet shade, The memory of light will never fade.
