Sunlight Love

I remember seeing those eyes in awe and wonder, but now I see the memories of what we used to be. It's a beautiful yet melancholic feeling that lingers til you find comfort in it. It sticks with you daily in the tiniest moments when something reminds you of them. I remember the heartbreak I went through, but what we had is what I want to experience in life again. That warmth of finally embracing the true light of love for a person. Not in a romantic way nor platonic, but absorb their presence and soul. There in that special place in my memory, I lived for the first time.
