Sun Downing
On a sunday evening Sun dips low, a glowing sigh, Shadows stretch as day says goodbye. Colors bleed in soft retreats, The bright light beaming sun setting Behind the mountains The horizon breathes in Velvet blues and warmest grays, With the darkness taking a peek A glims of every shadow color Making its way to the stage Gracing the human eye With they glamorous show Winds carry honeyed dust, A memory of heat, Moonrise learns to borrow The last peach of glow, While streetlamps wink awake And the clouds gathering The moon is taking a peek Before releasing it, it's time to shine The darkness crawling From right under the bed About to take the day for a spin Sun downing whispers, Calm and sweet
