SUCKER AT YOU
In the halls of my heart, a name is etched A smile that captured me, a soul that's beckoned I like her, yes, I like her so But life's path is winding, and I must let go Her laughter echoes, a melody sweet A glance that speaks volumes, a heart that skips a beat I yearn to be near, to hear her voice But circumstances whisper, "It's time to make a choice" I must move on, though it's hard to bear The thought of leaving, the memories we share I'll hold on to the moments, the glances, the sighs And let go of the what-ifs, the maybes, the goodbyes Her eyes, they shine like stars in the night A constellation of wonder, a celestial delight I'll carry the memory, the spark, the flame And find my way, though it's not the same I'll walk the road ahead, with a heart that's true And find someone new, who'll love me too But for now, I'll cherish the past And let go of the love that didn't last So I'll bid farewell, to the what could've been And hello to the future, where my heart will mend I'll find my way, I'll find my voice And move on, with a heart that's still rejoicing.
