stupid silly poem about tears
Today's tears tasted different melancholic drops streaming one by one down my face the rush in my ears telling me there are more to come the silence afterwards when the tears flow at the same slow rate as before, out a single eye of mine. finally, they fall and roll around aiming for my chin but of course, my face, as per usual guides the tear over my mouth and I taste the salt once more but today they taste different they taste of letting someone know you need help they have a sweet aftertaste the tears can be felt in my shaky hand holding a phone the tears are on the back of my throat, sweet rather than salty the tears well up in my eyes and catch on my eyelashes the tears are in my eyebrows in the way they furrow the slightest bit and they're in my mouth as it goes to contort itself into a smile to compensate for the tears today's tears tasted different to yesterdays and yester-yesterdays these had a sweet sweet aftertaste, these they tasted like the most beautiful of poisons and didn't feel that salty they had a sweet sweet aftertaste So why do they hurt just the same as yesterday's?
