'Stuck here'
A weight inside, a heavy heart Laughter hides the pain from the start People around, yet feeling alone A cry for help, a whispered moan If only they could see The tears I've held, the pain I've freed A facade of happiness, a mask I wear But deep inside, a stormy sea Mom's broken heart, Dad's fragile frame Persecution's sting, hurtful words that claim A sense of hopelessness, a future unsure A burden carried, a heart that's pure A lover's absence, a longing deep A brother's pain, a wound that won't sleep Questions swirl, emotions astray A 16-year-old's heart, bearing the weight of gray School's pressure mounts, deadlines near But can I reach my dreams, or will they disappear? The virus of pain, a constant guest A heart that's crying, a soul that's pressed I need a moment, just to be... To let it all out, to set my heart free But the world keeps spinning, and I'm left behind A heart that's breaking, a soul that's blind If you're reading this, please understand The pain I'm hiding, the weight I've planned I'm searching for solace, a respite from the pain A chance to breathe, to heal, to love again. ~Vee
