Struggling Christian
Every day I pray. But it seems like it's in vain, Every day I pray, But I still sway in my faith. I believe in My Lord. And will defend his name with sword, But to worldly desires and temptation I walk toward. And straying from him is something I can't afford My God, he knows me by name... Yet I use his in vain. He wipes my slate clean without stain. And I still struggle to live life for him instead of for personal gain. He's always been by my side. Never left me unsatisfied, Still his blessings I deny. I just hope I get it right by the time I die. If I open up he will let my future bloom, Instead I lock myself in my room And the game is to be resumed, Even though he knew me in the womb I'm a Christian But I still struggle, My life has been rebuilt from ruble, And when they say "Have faith" I simply chuckle Without him, my life was full of trouble. I constantly fall into sin, There is something very wrong with me deep within. I want nothing more then to crawl out of my skin, Because I am a Struggling Christian
