STRIPES
Jesus, a name above every other name Who has always remained the same He suffered to have those stripes So that I can have wipes To look sickness in the eye And tell it to die I am not worthy of these great grace But the LORD has shown mercy on me in my heavenly race What are these stripes They are marks of life Forever engraved on the body Never to be shown to anybody Instead was used to set you and I free In order to open our eyes to see The Love God has for us To tell us we are not at a loss That poverty is not in our course And should drop it, if it acts like a purse It decides to hold all our hard work Like it is practicing a footwork Why? it is because Jesus died on the cross To become poor for us So that we won't be stuck like moss But to be rich The Bible tells us in Isaiah 53:5 That Jesus took a dive So we won't have to strive To be healed but instead be able to live Isaiah 53:5 "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.
