Strength in learning
Strength is not in tall boots or loud drums, but in a mind that keeps learning, even after the battle is over. I once followed every order I heard, but inside, I still asked questions - so I could lead with heart, not just rules. A young soldier asked me one day, “ Sir, is fear worse than not knowing ? ” I said:-“ Fear grows when we stop learning ”. At first, I thought brave meant loud. But I saw a quiet man lead us all— his calm was stronger than shouting. Long ago, a child gave me a torn book from a burnt library in a quiet village. He said:-“ There’s still something to learn ". I’ve seen high walls break and fall - not from bombs, but from forgetting what they were meant to protect. Sometimes we fight, but forget the reason. And when we do, we lose more than land - we lose who we are. Statues may fall, names may fade, but a lesson planted in someone’s heart can grow for many lifetimes. Before I leave, I say this to you: Don’t just be strong - be wise. Don’t just speak - listen, too. And if I leave behind one thing, let it be these simple truths - to guide you when I’m gone.
