Streetwalker
She was out on the street, almost dead on her feet, hoping she'd get through the night. And he called out her name, as he began playing his game, he knew what he wanted all right. Looked like her business was not good that day, she looked so tired and ever so lonely; as always, he had the thought, "if only," he could help her in some small way. Yet, he could never say what he needed to say. And, as he approached her now, he was thinking things over; some feelings were raw and others sublime. He felt so many emotions, they would have filled several oceans; he would have to talk to her seriously this time. This was a very familiar scene because he knew her as she had always been. So he first jokingly tells her he loves her, and that he is always thinking of her but he didn't tell her just why. She laughed just a little, with a twist, then a giggle; and ended her laugh with a sigh. Then he tells her he's serious. He insists he's not spurious, and she listens intently as he pleads. Smiling again, with a shake of her head, but, "I do love you; professionally," she said.
