Streetkids
Abandoned by parents through unwanted love - in silence they cry out in pain. Craving thoughts left by bitterness and hate, Only their dreams and wishes remain. Children without warmth and love reverts to the streets with their fears. Lonely and sad and nowhere to go; silently weeping, heartbroken in tears. Banded together; young boys and girls their clothes, all dirty and torn. Protecting each other from perverts and dogs, in unguarded areas from dusk till dawn. Sleeping in doorways with newspaper bags, covering their bodies from the cold. Relieving pressure as darkness descend and the nightmares starts to unfold. Searching through dirtbins looking for food with their sleepy and hungry eyes. Begging in carparks and shopping malls still, no one cared about their broken lives. What memories do these kids have, living without love every day. What future will these children perceive, grasping on hope that has gone astray.
