Stranger encounter
I met a stranger, she caught my eye, A fleeting spark I can’t deny. Each time I try to let her go, She reappears, a face I know. It feels as though she once was near, A closest friend I held so dear. Her laughter danced, her voice would sing, But now she’s distant, a shadow, a blur, A memory lost, yet tied to her. My head aches, my heart’s in pain, As glimpses of her flood my brain. A stranger, yes, but somehow more, A ghost from a time I can’t explore. Who is she? Why does she stay? A past forgotten, yet on display. -neiison
