Stolen Glances, Silent Hopes
Brewing the coffee, again and again, I steal glances, hoping your eyes might find mine. But your focus remains, a dedication so fierce, Leaving me longing, feeling let down each time. The AC hums, cool against the heat I feel, My feet barely touching the ground, lost in thought. Absent from my senses, I drown in the moment, While the coffee brews, pouring warmth over me, A bitter reminder of this silent ache. Those beautiful cherry eyes rarely glance my way, Until they recognize the man who watches you. My pounding heart asks: are you real or an illusion? I’m captivated, lost in your beauty from the start. Your footsteps are a dance, elegant and swift, Every glance I steal feels like a stolen chance. Surely, there are millions who admire you too, Yet I’ll keep waiting for our roads to cross, Hoping for a moment when you finally see me.
