still i rise
Some days the weight is far too much, A quiet ache, a silent crutch. The road is cracked beneath my feet, Yet I refuse to know defeat. I've loved, I've lost, I've stood in rain, I've learned that joy can live with pain. The tears I've cried have carved my soul, But never stole my hopeful goal. I carry memories close each day, Of those whose love won't fade away. Though heaven holds them from my sight, Their love still guides me through the night. My heart has scars that time won't hide, Yet courage walks here by my side. For every storm that bends my tree, Its roots grow deeper quietly. I may not know what waits ahead, Or why some dreams were left unsaid. But I will face each dawn anew, With faith to see the darkness through. Because love never truly ends; It lives in family, hope, and friends. And every step that I still take Is proof a heart can bend—not break. I can also write one that's more about your cat, your son, your faith, or your journey through grief and healing if you'd like.
