STILL HERE
I've been scarred and battered my hopes the wind is scattered snow has froze me sun has baked me looks like between them they didn't try to make me stop laughing stop living stop loving but I don't care I'm still here! my prime of youth is but a frost of cares my feast of joy is but a dish of pain a crop of corn is but a field of tears and all my good is but in vain I hope of grain the day is passed and yet I saw no sun and now I live and now my life is done. my tail was Heard and yet it was not told my fruit is falling and yet my legs are green my use is spent and yet I am not old I saw the world yet I was not seen my thread is said and yet it's not fun and now I live now my life is done. I saw my death and found it in my womb for life and saw it was a shade I trod the Earth and knew it was my tomb and now I die now I made my glasses full and now my glasses run and now I live now my life is done. written by Rhonda Kendrick.
