In the quiet of the night, I lay still In the loudness of the day, I lay still Barely breathing, feeling the weight of my thoughts Losing what's inside of me, slowly slipping away I am lost But in this motionless state, I feel tranquil The days move like minutes, sometimes years The passing tic clicks in my ears quickly A wonder? a thought? of something, someone All hope of something to refill This is why in the quiet I lay still
