Still
Still by Jack A.S. Dunce I went out into the world to fulfill a dream to live in a home on a hill. I roamed the mean city streets of Rome, full of things that's out to get one's will. On turbulent waters of the distant seas, a siren's song seduced me of my zeal. When the spell wore off, my world laid in waste: a dark moon fills all with a constant chill. I sought rest but there's not one for the weary; I'll lay on a lone flower to be still. ©️pgmr 10/15/2024
