Still
I know you don't give a shit anymore, But can't you just try and pretend more? So at least I'll have something I can hold on to, A reason I can have to carry on, a love that's true. Was it all just pretending, the love we were sharing? Exchanging 'I love you's as if we're equally caring. But in the end, you'll ignore me, hate my very being, Was it all lies, and all the times we spent, meant you nothing? I have things left unsaid, but I chose to keep my silence instead, Since I don't want to bother you anymore. Yet here I am, in the same space and place, Trying to bring back what used to exist, and all that's left are scars of your embrace. Will things ever be the same? Do I keep wishing for things to be okay? Or will you finally talk to me and be with me today? Please come back home, at least on my birthday
