Still
You came into my life, and I believe in you, I believe in us. You were the kind of love that I thought I'd hold on to forever. But now I don't even know who I'm with. The sweetness faded, your words turned to silence, you went from loving to barely present, you used to care. Now I'm here talking to silence, left on read, wondering what I did wrong this time. I've tried. God knows I tried. To understand, to be patient and stay. I'm hurt. I'm tired. Tired of feeling like I don't matter, I'm tired of giving so much of myself, just to be invisible to you. Tired of loving someone who's no longer here the way they used to be. I tried to talk, I wanted to fix things but you just kept drifting. I wanted us to fight for this, but it feels like I'm the only one holding on. Still, I love you. That hasn't changed at all, but I'm starting to ask myself, does loving you mean I have to lose myself? does loving you I must break? Still, I hold on. Though it hurts like hell I'm scared to lose you, scared to fall, because I'm willing to understand, wait and help you, but do you even care about us anymore? I don't want to let go, because that's how much I love you. But I'm breaking from holding on alone.
