I woke up early this morning the sun upon my face greeting me and pushing me to face another day I sit with veteran brothers and sip on my coffee and plan the day for shopping and thankful for beauty I didn't have to wake this morning I could have met my maker but I'm here in the moment to try to do this day better " I wish the sunshine to brighten up your day I wish your journey make you tough and strong I wish that when you see this song it will brighten up your day but most of all I wish you'd stay" -------------------------------------- The original song: "I wish you'd stay" can be found in my book: " A look inside the man: poetry about life and nature" I was thinking about a fellow writer when I wrote this song.
