Stars
Stars A velvet blanket, deeply dyed, Where countless, frozen suns reside. They prick the dark with diamond light, And chase away the earthly night. Each tiny spark, a furnace vast, A memory of ages past. They spin their tales of cosmic dust, Of gravity and ancient trust. The North Star guides the sailor's way, A silent promise for the day, While Orion strides, a hunter bold, A story sung, a legend told. They watch us from their distant spheres, Ignoring all our fleeting fears, Unblinking eyes in cold expanse, That summon wonder with a glance. We look up high and feel the pull, To know the grand, the beautiful. A single thought across the miles: We are their children, bathed in smiles Of light that left a million years ago. The Stars above us, watch us grow.
