Standing Tall
standing Tall in the garden, home to families of Jackdaws, the chatter is deafening throughout the day. who is talking the trees or birds? the very name of where they grow suggests their longevity those birds chattering incessantly standing by your trunk looking up. I become giddy watching you sway, how do the nests stay secured? I once watched two Jackdaws carrying twigs together to interlace in their nests to carry on their calling for another year. when you died a neighbour asked could they fell those trees. they knew you loved those pines the noise prevents us from talking outside they said. Those trees remain Forever in the garden swaying in the wind offering the jackdaws a place to chatter.
