Stand up
I used to stand alone. Now, I stand with my surviving sisters because I am one of them. They say you can't stand up. The survival in me will never stay down. I will always stand up for my rights as a woman. But if I fall. I remember that I am a Survivor. We never stand down. Because we don't stand alone, we always rise. Sometimes, it is hard when your abuser keeps your memories alive. Just remember he is your past. You control your future. The power is your strength when you can't stand alone. I won't let those memories stop me from standing up for what is right. I have learned to express my words by hiding my feelings from you. Now I pick up a pen. You have to stand by your words and thoughts. I stand up to tell my story. So you can stand up and tell your story. You will never have to stand alone.
