I stood there in the midst of the crowded space. Uncertainty flowed through my veins As I discerned that familiar face. I gazed in its direction, attempting to make it out beyond the blinding sunbeams. I took several steps, as if the path had been cleared, But the lines were blurred. Whilst the clouds secluded the sun rays, Your lingering scent vanished, leaving my senses in a daze. I halted, waiting for it to come back. I convinced myself to follow; Otherwise my chest would remain hollow, Yet the amber light was tainted red and you never once looked back.
