Stained
I pray the Lord, my soul to keep; Cause lately, I've drowned deep; Hunted by nightmares, alone in my sleep; I'm watching my thoughts as they creep. The past becomes the predator; While I try to escape as a prey; I tried to rewrite my life as an editor; Didn't know that looking back would turn gray. I got stained of my mistakes; I lost sight of what's at stake; My deepest pain wasn't my mistakes; But my change of being a snake. I seem more dangerous than a viper; I seem more flammable than fire; Maybe it's my desire; That got me feeling all higher. I got stained of your love; Tough love, which I know is a bluff; I did you wrong cause I'm stained of sin; Now that I know, I'll pay for my sin.
