Spring memory
Sweet wafts of peach and morning dew, Trickle gently forth of pebbled wells, Citrine on the calming breeze, Reignite a flame of heartbeat swells. Calm days stretch to sets of slumber, And carry forth my heart to yours, Flower blooms on the meadow groves, Bring floral air to scent the dawn. Beckon now our world forgotten, Echoed notes on crystal streams, The oaks alone sing our songs of passion, Your skin on mine, a distant dream. Timeless beauty reminiscent, A world unchanged, no longer ours. For morning burns my vacant fires, With cinders held by your gentle hands. Soon I breathe, your face will render as you ride the raindrops on my cheeks, And comfort me, through last surrender, My soul to yours and heart to keep. Time is all I have to offer, This soil holds our final dance. No fear escapes my weeping eyes Soft breathes empty the lands expanse. Peaceful light to shroud my vision as eyes beset our once shared home. Beauty rapture my soul you beckon, and once more your smile reflects my own.
