Spring Is Here
Like distant dreams almost unreal, a time when life had no limits. We laughed, we played the summers never ended.Six if us in our wee house, we wouldn't have had it any other way. Home from school and straight outside. Soldiers, swimming, football and tennis Tig, and british bulldogs until the sun went down. Early morning fishing some apples from the orchard, camping and midnight bonfires. Sausages, beans and whelks on the shore. Reading under the covers by torchlight Long cycles to the sea Bird watching and collecting frogspawn Collecting conkers in autumn, soda bottles and golf balls in the summer. These were the best of days, as the years pass and memory becomes a challenge I want to remember as much as possible. One day memory becomes myth myth fades into half - truths, dissolving slowly,oh so slowly. I mean to write all this down one day..
