Spring
In spring’s embrace, the world awakes, With blossoms bright and gentle lakes, I wander paths where colors bloom, Yet in my heart, there’s whispered gloom. The cherry trees in full display, Remind me of the words I’d say, If only you could feel this spark, Instead, I watch you from the dark. Each petal falls, a fleeting chance, A dance of hope, a wistful glance, I long to share this vibrant air, But silence lingers, leaves me bare. The sun spills warmth on budding leaves, While in my chest, a longing weaves, You laugh and play, so full of light, Unaware of my quiet plight. With every bird that sings a tune, I dream of nights beneath the moon, But in this season’s sweet allure, I know my love can’t be secure. So as the world bursts into cheer, I hold my feelings close, yet near, For in the blooms, I see the cost— This spring, I love you, but I'm lost.
