Spirit
It's 4 am. I can't turn my head off, Wishing these thoughts would fade. They never do. In shadows, I walk, burdened and lost, A soul wrapped in darkness, feeling so blue. A weight on my chest, whispers of despair, Each heartbeat echoes, a lonely affair. A battle within, a war none can see, Depression's cruel grip, consuming me. I yearn for connection, a lifeline to hold, But aggression emerges, a story untold. Misunderstood cries, lost in translation, A soul drowning silently, seeking salvation. Haunted by demons, I wear a fake smile, Invisible struggles, mile after mile. Do they hate me? It echoes like rain, A symphony of doubt, a relentless refrain. Alone in a crowd, shadow's my friend, Isolation's embrace, where broken hearts mend. Yet, within the storm, a glimmer of plea, For love to break through, set my spirit free.
