Spend Our Time Dying
Now that I know we spend all our time dying, I will love you as much as I can, even more. I will not be thinking of speaking and lying, nor breaking up things just to even the score. I will not count on the value of vengeance nor forsake the purpose of our love in this life. I will not waste our time on trivial things, nor fret anymore with straining and strife. I will be as cool as ice in cold Arctic water, as calm as a harbor on a warm summer's night, as content as a mom who hears her child's laughter; as lovely as swans in the middle of flight. No, it wouldn't be worth doing just waiting to die and letting this beautiful world get on with itself. For it is far better we explode on the 4th of July, than to be fireworks forgotten somewhere on a shelf. Pogo
