Souvenir Heart
When we met It didn't take long You won my heart And I melted Into your arms You became a part Of everything I am When you left I felt empty And then I realized That I never got My heart back I guess you kept it As a souvenir And the saddest part Is that I don't miss my heart As much as I miss you For all I know You could be a Souvenir shop Full of stolen hearts But in my mind I just see you Holding mine Like you never Want to break it And I can hardly Call it stolen When I know it was Freely given To you Because I trusted you And as much as I hate To admit it As naive as it is I still do So hold that souvenir tight Keep it nice and safe I'll need it back eventually But I'll hold on for now Until we meet again someday I can only hope we will I can only hope you still want me I can only hope this will work out in the end I can only hope because you were the best of me
