Sometimes Society is Wrong
If society is right I wanna be wrong. I am in love with a person I should never like It’s wrong to like her and not him Society has taught us that girls cannot like girls And guys cannot like guys So where does that leave me? I sit here watching the people falling in love with the other gender Yet my heart doesn’t think him when I hear love It thinks her instead I am told that is wrong though So I will push that thought out of my head But then why does she say she likes me? Society has taught us that to love her and not him is wrong Well I'd much rather be wrong than right Because with her it feels so right So if I’m wrong for loving a woman and not a man I wanna be wrong Because there are some things society is wrong in But even if this is right Why am I not the only one then? The statistics you put us in, the stereotypes, the gaslighting, hate crimes, all of it The churches have shown us that we cannot be with lines never said But then why are there so many of us? Even then if I am the only one I wanna be wrong If society is right.
