Sometimes all it takes To make my heart race Is for someone to give me a break And maybe a little space Sometimes all you need to say To restore a little faith Is a simple "how was your day?" And maybe a little praise Sometimes all that keeps me alive For just one more day Is going for a little drive And being told everything's okay But sometimes you don't even notice What's going on beneath the surface Your words can help me focus For today I have a purpose And sometimes you don't even know How much your kindness makes a difference A simple smile could help a flower grow I really hope I'm not a hindrance And sometimes I wish you could see How much a simple act of kindness changes Your words could give hope to me Although hope comes in many ranges And sometimes you could never imagine How much you might mean to someone Saving a life with a little compassion And that person could be anyone And sometimes you could save Another's life one day After all the hope you've gave I hope to you someone does the same Cause sometimes one person can't take Being the one who gives the faith With none given back as a little thanks You need to take care of yourself too, okay?
