Something different
Each weekend, the same Same old car, same old game Same old clothes we came in But never the same Mother says, "See you in a bit," Now we're back at the other house, but something's different We have our same old clothes and same old shoes Same old toys, but something's new No, it's not the kitchen or the dining room But something's off, I just can't choose He buys us all the things we want But I know something's up, I just can't figure out what He asks us where we want to go I have a feeling something's gonna blow We find a place to go and play To have some fun for just one day But in the morning rise and shine The same old car pulls up put outside We pack out things and head on out I see him standing there as we head out 1 more hug and 1 more kiss Then it's in the car and home again I see him standing there, but this time, different Not 1 smile or 1 wave bye But I watch him through that same old window And I watch him cry
