Something Called Love
Love, descending from skies of grace, Not harsh nor rugged in its embrace, But like a fleeting breeze, so tender, A chorus of emotions, sweet surrender. It whispers of beauty in its wake, A symphony of affection it does make, Imperfect, yet an elusive perfection, A feeling that defies all comprehension. In your presence, I find solace and peace, A soulmate whose love will never cease, For you, my dear, are all I require, In this something called love, I acquire. No bluff, no pretense, it's real and true, A deep love that only you can subdue, And though my words may come across stern, Within my heart, it's you I yearn. Forgive me if I seem distant or gruff, Life's trials can make me a little tough, But understand it's just my inner battle, The turbulence within my mental castle. And though I may falter, make mistakes, Through it all, your love never breaks, For you fit my heart as perfectly as a glove, In this something called love, we both rise above.
