Someone else
Someone else I am someone else, lost in my own mind, Trapped in a world of thoughts unkind, Where darkness lurks around every corner, And happiness seems a distant foreigner, Anxiety grips me with its icy fingers, Dragging me down, my spirit lingers, In a place of self-doubt and fear, Where the end is never near, Depression weighs heavy on my chest, A constant burden, a never-ending quest, To find some shred of light in the darkness, To break free from this mental harness, I am someone else, someone I don't recognize, Who looks back at me with haunted eyes, Searching for a way to escape, From the prison of my own mind's landscape, But hope shines like a beacon in the night, A glimmer of light, a spark, a fight, To reclaim my sanity, to find my way, To break free from this endless gray, I am someone else, but I won't be forever, I will find my way back, I will endeavor, To break free from these chains that bind, And reclaim the life that is rightfully mine.
