Someday
Someday When it comes— the day, I mean— I will stare for just a moment, trying to see whether you’ve gained something or lost some part of you. Then I’ll look again, carefully, searching your face— did you lose that pretty smile, or fix your nose? Have your ears grown smaller? I’ll take my time, just in case we part again. At least this time, I won’t forget your face. I’ll have something to hold on to until another today becomes someday. Oh, and your voice— I will want to hear it again, the way my name once felt when you said it. That day, I will hope for this to happen— someday. This is it, Kuuks, this is what I want from you: , maybe. Until then, it’s not goodbye. It’s just someday, I say. — Alley_kat 🌙✨
