solemn tribute to dad
From the instant I was cradled within my mother’s womb, You shaped my world with beauty, preparing it for my bloom. At birth, your hands became the shield beneath my feet, Guarding each fragile step so no harm could meet. As I grew, you bore hardships with silent grace, A smile concealing every trial you faced. You longed for my joy, my success, my place, In a life secure, in love’s embrace. When I was wed and parted from you, Your tears fell quietly, hidden from view. And when I became a mother in turn, Your soul rejoiced, with a longing to return. You blessed my child with a love untold, With laughter, warmth, and a heart of gold. But when pain struck deep, you spoke no word, And left me in silence—your absence unheard. Father, your presence was my light, my shield, Without you, life’s wounds refuse to heal. In your absence, truth unveils its face, Relations and hearts stripped of their grace. Life teaches much, but one truth I see: The world feels crueler since you left me.
