Soft Contrasts
Not pretty nor plain, just somewhere between, A quiet presence, not always seen. Not the sharpest, yet no stranger to thought, A blend of what is, and what is not. With a handful of friends, but open to more, Comfort at home, yet longing to explore. Neither too thin nor too full, I stay, In my own little world, finding my way. Friendly in texts, yet shy when I speak, Sometimes bold, other times meek. A smile on the surface, tears below, Needing a hand, yet letting go. A mix of opposites, strong yet unsure, In the simple moments, my soul finds its cure. A quiet sunflower, turning with grace Just a soft balance in a noisy place.
