Sobbing
I gazed upon myself among furrows of clay Where the dew silences, And there, I learned to walk, Treading frosts and gales I remained sobbing at dawn, And when I longed to flee The arms of the rain drew me back. I sailed beneath the designs of fate, Precocious in the sand, Forged in the memories once lived, In the secrets of a fallen petal, I sobbed beneath the rain, alone, Bitter with sorrows, And the field, Taught me to walk through clay Beneath the gaze of the willows, And the trill of the birds Echoed in the morning dew. I sobbed the forsaken heart Stripped bare of melodies, Bereft of tears When I found the moon undressed, I blinded my eyes before the storm And sealed my ears before the thunder. I sobbed at its roots, I marveled at its furrows and shades, I steeped its fragrance into my soul Like a secret that burns without being revealed. And from so much weeping A dying lament was born in me, Water from my spring, Precocious in the sand, She sobbed with him in her arms, It was the morning that bore the radiance. I sobbed in silence, Death grew still, And I found her beneath the willow, Sobbing melodies into the ear Of the silence of the dew.
