Snowfall (P1 of 2)
A white world of winter whirls and frosts our faces, as we march up the mountain during the first snow. The trails are ice-covered as we trod these wide spaces; we step onto the path as we march, all aligned in a row. We see the top of the mountain embracing the morning in the first heavy snowfall of the winter this year. The snow tamps the sounds, all muffling the warning of the danger of weather approaching the mountain near. The hushed sound of daybreak resounds as white noise. The wild scenery we see on the mountain is to revere. Sad cows all in line as we shuffle by; each in their bovine poise. They glumly look on with their somber expressions sincere. These cattle are standing with their ice-caked flanks, finely cloaked in snowscaped blankets this land provides. These vigilant glitter-critters assigned to their ranks, all appears well until the sun, up from the mountain glides. The ice-covered bracken and sheathed ice on the trees, cracks and shatters before the sun arrives on the scene. Creaks and groans in the forest are in response to the breeze, amid huge mounds of snow where live young evergreens. (Continued in P2)
