Snow
Little white pellets falling from the sky, Disappearing once they hit the ground. They go where the wind blows No control over where they fly Sometimes they're many and sometimes they are few But it is never hard to tell as they float by They leave a mark wherever they go but that mark fades away with time They live in groups all spread out across the grass Caused everyone to leave in a hurry before they filled the hollow streets high They're both beautiful and dangerous Treacherous and never humorous The constant sound of the big monsters in the street clearing the way for others behind them Leaving small white crystals in their wake that make the ground unsteady As time ticks by the little white pellets disappear from the sky To be seen again when the clouds are ready to let go.
